About Calistoga

Ahhh, Calistoga, come here to unplug from the everyday and enjoy life. Here you will find magnificent mud baths, the natural Calistoga mineral water and your road to wellness begins. This small town at the foot of the Napa Valley boasts geyser springs, gorgeous hiking trails and amazing restaurants. Along with world class wines in this region, top rated restaurants are also plentiful. A truly welcoming town with a breathtaking landscape. Calistoga itself lies in between two mountain ranges the Howell Mountain to the east and the Mayacamas Range to the west which highlights the Palisades and Mount Saint Helena landscape that is remarkable. A little slice of heaven. One of the best ways to see it all is by taking a hot air balloon ride.
Located 79 miles north of San Francisco with a population slightly over 5,000 it shares the Napa Valley’s mediterranean climate yet slightly warmer in the summer months as it is further from the San Francisco Bay and the narrowest part of the valley. With 38 inches of rain per year it nourishes this agricultural region and enhances the beauty of the existing stunning vistas. Pioneer Park located in the middle of town has a great summer concert series and the park can be enjoyed year round.
In 1920 Giuseppe Musante, a store owner drilled for cold water and found a hot water source. He soon sold Calistoga Sparkling Mineral Water which is known today as Calistoga Water Company.
