About Yountville
It would be hard to imagine the Napa Valley without Yountville. As you move north of Napa there is yet another quaint, charming town with fantastic restaurants! Here you will find the famous restaurants such as French Laundry, Ad Hoc, Bottega, Bistro Jeanty and Bouchon just to name a few. The Yountville Town Center embraces the community life with a 10,000 s.f. community center, 4,800 s.f. community hall also encompassing the branch library.
One of the most notable, celebrated chefs and restaurateur of today Thomas Keller opened his French Laundry restaurant here inspired by the countryside of France. Yountville could easily be mistaken for a french countryside with its scenic rolling vineyards and mediterranean climate. The residential neighborhoods have tree lined streets, picturesque landscape and creeks flowing through some backyards. Quaint is the quintessential word for Yountville. It is one of my favorite towns to simply take a walk.
Located 56 miles north of San Francisco, Yountville’s population barely reaches 3,000. George C. Yount was considered the first to establish a vineyard in the Napa Valley. Yountville has more Michelin stars than any other place in the world. The Michelin Red Guide is internationally known as the standard for hotels and restaurants. Published for over 12 countries, recognizing exemplary restaurants since 1926 by French Andre Michelin. Having 3 stars by Michelin standards means you are the best.
