French Blue a New Restaurant in St Helena CA
Besides the fact Howard Backen of Backen Gillam Kroeger is one of our favorite architects, the food and service was amazing! As a local in the Napa Valley we saw the construction of French Blue restaurant in St. Helena, CA being built but we were not sure what it was going to be. Of course it is a darling restaurant with an open airy patio and outside fireplace. A simply charming place to spend time. Once you walk in the high ceilings and skylights open up the space and the fireplace adds the touch of home. The kitchen is open at the back of the restaurant adding to the ambiance, charm and beautiful interior. It is as if Howard Backen has invited you to his own home and had his own personal chef cook for you.
Our breakfast experience was wonderful. So many choices on the menu all from local farms and all under $20 as everything on the menu is. It was a surprise to find out that French Blue is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. As we sat at our table we enjoyed the fresh lavender as our centerpiece. We were served generous portions of coffee and ice tea with an accompanying carafe so we could linger and not have to grab the attention of our server time and again. After enjoying the Cowgirl Mt. Tam omelet and their yummy eggs and levain toast we took a stroll around the quaint town of St. Helena.
We will definitely visit French Blue the new restaurant in St. Helena, CA again soon and will be regulars there. It is an attractive place on the St. Helena map, one you cannot miss!
